THE LIBERTY YEARS 1924-1950

A 650 page compilation, along with color illustrations, of what appeared in Liberty: A Weekly for Everybody which was supposed to be a fairly trendy reflection of the times some of which will come back to older readers via Clara Bow and Jimmy Walker, FDR and Shirley Temple. Along with the feature stories, there are tongue twisters, bright sayings, one liners, and the one page short story which this magazine developed as well as discovering a longer one by Leo Tolstoy or introducing Budd Schulberg. Mr. Churchill puts in his five cents worth of commentary from time to time as well as providing the introduction. Only Yesterday for some. To others it will seem even longer ago.
