READ REVIEW

THE LOST BARON

An absorbing story which younger readers will thoroughly enjoy and which parents and teachers can recommend for the sound background of authentic information on medieval life in England. The period is 1200 -- the setting, an old castle on the cliffs of Cornwall. Good adventure, mystery, with ample suspense, plenty of action and enough detail to hold the reader's close attention. A good selection for the boys just outgrowing the classical tales of chivalry, and demanding more pace. The slow reader, however, may find it somewhat overlong, and the print is not what one would choose.
