KIRKUS REVIEW

An affectionate family story with the fun of cooperative projects and the satisfaction of making a good companion of a lonely child given boisterous treatment. The Westford Juniors --two sets of twins and ten-year-old Karen -- are determined to save their pasture on which the family animals were kept, by raising money to buy it for themselves. The money-raising projects -- a vegetable stand, a show and even selling antiques -- are eventually a success, but the adjustment of spoiled Kathie O'Hara, a boarder Karen's age, is a different matter. However, the good sense and good humor of the Westford family help Kathie and Karen to bridge their differences and enjoy the wonderful treat of being best friends and having secrets. Sure-fire fun and chatter.
