KIRKUS REVIEW

As a career story of a girl who works up through amateur trials and tribulations to the larger trials and tribulations of directing a repertory theater in a college town this is adequately handled, with various jobs presented graphically. But, unfortunately, the plot limps badly, the romance is obvious and stilted, and the style amateurish and full of cliches. Too bad -- a good vocational book on theater would be welcome.
