Jaunty account of a working girl's vacation, as the author and a girl friend, both employees of the Piper Corporation, decide to fly to Alaska in a 50-horse power Cub Trainer. They make their flight to Seattle (eventually in a Coupe), they take a boat to Skagway, than airway again to Fairbanks. There is one crackup, there are troubles with maps, non-existent landing fields, regulations, native curiosity. They explore, they meet a Mounty, Eskimos, traders, missionaries, tourists. Though never really roughing it, they find some danger spots and have a grand time.
