HOME HEALTH AND NURSING by Alma Long

HOME HEALTH AND NURSING

By

Publisher: Appleton-Century

This is no ABC book, but rather a book for the layman who wants to be a bit more in the know on problems of common illness and home nursing, and on the physiological aspects of the human being. Some recent scientific data and techniques are included, and mental as well as physical hygiene is discussed. I found the theory pretty well generalized -- and it certainly would not serve as an only book on the subjects -- even for the amateur layman. The chapters giving specific instructions are much better than the first half of the book, -- those dealing with nursing procedure, techniques, invalid food problems, child care and development. Suggest as supplementary reading to First Aid courses.
