KIRKUS REVIEW

Contrived mystery in routine pattern- with a 16-year old girl heroine. Her professor father is on sabbatical and they go back to the old family homestead in Indiana, and find the ""Glory Hole"", a hidden room between the fireplaces which had been used years before as a station on the Underground. The search for treasure, suspected as being hidden there, reveals a connecting passage with a boathouse, and they find a ""mystery man"" -- and eventually a horde of rare books. Adequate but uninspired.
