Psychotherapist meets objectivist. Does The Fountainhead fizzle? In this extensive dissection Albert proves that Ayn is just a muzzy old romantic: ""Any resemblance between objectivism and a truly rational approach to human existence is purely coincidental; . . . objectivist teachings are unrealistic, dogmatic and religious."" However, certain aspects of Miss Rand's philosophy are useful in Mr. Ellis' ""rational-emotive method of psychotherapy."" Which he tediously points out and which seem to be the only possible reason for this book. As certain critic have indicated recently--the real rationale behind most objectivists is an unseemly crush on Howard Roark.
