HUMPTY DUMPTY'S STORY BOOK

Mr. Tresselt, formerly the editor of Humpty Dumpty's Magazine and presently the juvenile editor of Parents' Magazine Press has selected some stories and poems that have appeared in the magazine over the past thirteen years. The stories are very short and most of them are quite easy for the newly independent reader although the animal or talking egg characters seem best suited to the interest and suspension of disbelief to be found in three or four year olds. The drawings are done with humor -- near graphic realism with a cartoon twist -- and full of detail. It seems like an adequate book for the young child to read to an even younger one. Not much, but not bad.
