A honeymoon detour for Tammis and Scott for the purpose of learning the facts behind a letter from Scott's dead father leads the couple into some pertinent, and impertinent, events in Buffalo. Their investigations turn up hard-to-believe details of the dead man's life, warnings against further snoopings are emphatic, but they pig-head to an acceptable solution. Natural dialog and homely detail keep this right down to earth.
