The ski trails and lodges of New England oddly provide the setting for a foreign intrigue adventure. Trudy, an expert skier, is hired by a magazine to investigate the strange doings at Dead Man's Gulch. After uncovering some information, she and her obnoxious co-reporter are told to drop the case by the famous skier, Scott Crosby. But she is grateful later when Scott and his cohorts enlist her assistance in tracking down an enemy agent intent upon revealing the secret experimental radar work transpiring in the Gulch. Trudy's hectic race along the trails and slopes leads her to the villain and the micro-film, and makes a mockery of her father's words, ringing over the years, proclaiming her cowardice. A tediously verbose drawn-out plot is unredeemed even by its fascinating setting.
