KIRKUS REVIEW

Texas is of more interest to the tourist passing through en route somewheres else, than to people -- few and far between --who might go there just to visit Texas. But industrially it is important, and even within Texas itself, there must be a big market for this new title in the American Guide series. Follows pattern laid down for successive volumes:- general information, calendar, history, geography, resources, government, industrial, commercial and labor conditions, transportation facilities, livestock, education, religion, social life, recreations and the arts. Then follows a section on the leading cities, and successive detailed tours.
