An attempt to give the layman an opportunity of looking in on all phases of heredity -- ""the genes"" to you. He handles the matter in everyday manner, and though at the start it may seem limited in appeal, the interest grows as you read. Inheritance -- and the reverse; myths of mating; birth; sex determination; coloring; bone structure; blood relationship and how it is determined; race; ancestry; the interplay of heredity and environment. There is a good deal on the subject of psychological characteristics, enlivened by bits on the Dionnes, and so on.
