I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH

The author's enthusiasm for the Christian church cannot be questioned, although this presentation will not inspire early risings on Sunday morning. With unbelievable youngsters straight from Ovaltine ads, and an elephantinely coy clergyman, as interlocutors, the author tells the story of the Church through the work of the apostles, saints and missionaries. Some meaty and valuable information here, unfortunately sunk in soggy Sunday School prose. Norman Guthrie Rudolph's portraits of the great men of the church are compelling, although the traditional setting is stodgily lifeless.
