JESSE'S DAYCARE

Though he misses Mom and often thinks about her, Jesse has a happy day with Sara, her mother, and the other kids who stay at her house--their wholesome activities pictured in Brown's cheerful, informal illustrations, with Mom's day in an office appearing in an occasional comer inset. A good, realistic picture of a frequent family situation, nicely concluded as Jesse and his mom describe their days on the way home together.
