KIRKUS REVIEW

The four major elements of this dazzling work include global views, terrain maps, especially selected photographs, and diagrams and charts,-600 in all,--each in full color. There are views of the Earth from outer space, closeups of vegetation and mountainous terrain, data on natural resources, and population and political maps outlining cities, towns, etc. A unique feature is the overview of relationships between geographical areas with each other with the general global view. Another is the concentration of all information on one particular within a series of consecutive pages. Ostensibly a book, this itself to browsing of its captivating visual beautifully summarized.
