THE CALF THAT FLEW AWAY

Udder nonsense about a calf with a swollen tummy who sailed above the rooftops -- with winsome illustrations by the author. Molly, acting against mother's orders, eats some forbidden grass, and ascends like an air balloon over the village, spending the night curled against the church steeple, flying away with a rescuing fireman grasping her hoofs, and finally roped in by a cowboy. Prolonged mooing while giving air rides to children brings Molly back to normal size and home pasture. Good fun.
