THE COMPLETE PHOTOGRAPHER by Andreas Feininger

THE COMPLETE PHOTOGRAPHER

Pub Date: Sept. 1st, 1965

This extensive book, attempting to cover almost too much from the technical to the aesthetic aspects of photography, is written with knowledge and professional experience--Feininger is the well known, formerly Life staff, photographer. Basically the book discusses the purpose of photographer (as a career, as a form of expression, etc.); the ""nature"" of the medium; the variable ""seeing"" ability of the photographer; the tools and materials and techniques he uses; the processing and printing phases; and finally the creative approach used.... Mr. Feininger is a thorough if humorless teacher and he uses the widest angle lens possible to bring all this into sharp focus (his own trade mark through the years).
