CREATING JEWELRY: For Fun and Profit

Self instruction for beginners, with discussion of basic materials, fundamental techniques, and enough to stimulate the creative imagination. There is very little about design; that is left to the individual. But the step by step process, from learning how to melt silver, what to expect, possible technical errors of beginners, safety rules -- on to the use of more elaborate tools, drills, jewelers' saws, and so on. Not a book for people who know nothing of craft work, but one which those with rudimentary knowledge would be able to translate into practical application. Each section suggests purchase of materials, costs, necessary equipment, etc.
