SATURDAY SCIENCE

This is a collection of lectures delivered since 1957 to a group of high school seniors, members of the Westinghouse Science Honors Institute. These lectures held every other Saturday were given to exceptional students interested in classical or modern science. Fourteen lectures in all, the text commences with a talk on light, electrons, and crystals and concludes with a talk on the interdisciplinary nature of science. A vast area is covered on a straightforward adult level. Photographs, diagrams and charts further create the situation of the original lectures. For the serious science student, this is a collection of real consequence both from the point of view of his academic and professional development.
