KIRKUS REVIEW

It is reassuring and heartening that the demand for the earlier reissues in this famous fairy tale series has been so satisfactory that these can be added. Less well known than the other titles, they measure up to the same high standard of original text and modern dress. The Olive Fairy Book is made up of mystic folk tales from the Far East, many of them with a certain peasant slyness... The Orange Fairy Book has particularly good stories for the story teller, drawn from the British Isles, Spain and Italy.
