CRIMSON FAIRY BOOK and VIOLET FAIRY BOOK

This follows the revision made a number of years ago in the other titles in this series. The Blue, Red, Green and Yellow Fairy Books were revised and given and clearer type. Now these two have been added. These books which have collected the folk lore of every nation may have a new vitality today. The Crimson represents Finnish, Hungarian, Russian, Serbian, Rumanian, Japanese, Sicilian, Italian and Tuniel folktales, is illustrated with 8 color plates by Ben Kutcher and has a foreward by Gould Davis. The Violet emphasizes the tales from Slavic countries, and is illustrated with 8 color plates by Dorothy Lake Gregory. Librarians and children will be happy to see these old favorites, back on the shelves, in their new dress and pictures.
