KIRKUS REVIEW

No words of counsel and advice to the younger minister -- and those not so young- should be more welcome than these from Dr. Andrew Blackwood, Professor Emeritus of the Princeton Theological Seminary, who has been a preacher's preacher and minister's minister (Protestant) for many years. Here he shares his distilled wisdom with those ministers who are willing to listen and learn of ways to prevent becoming victims of all the many pitfalls and pressures which surround and bedevil him today with more persistence than ever before. Dr. Blackwood reminds his readers that mental, spiritual and physical disciplines are imperative if the minister is to grow in Christlikeness, which will always be the measure of his ministry before and to men. Every minister who wants to grow in grace and in favor with God (and men) should own and heed this book.
