A flock of incidental niceties--a Maker of Days who is sometimes careless and makes the hours too long, a layout that's inventive but not labored, Jaunty detail in the drawings--are not sufficient to commend this little tribute to the essence of a perfect day: ""YOU may find it if you listen to a small bird singing."" Even a captive audience would squirm.
