KIRKUS REVIEW

Companion volume to the successful DIGGING IN YUCATAN, but not so successful in adolescent appeal as that book. However, adults will like this, and boys and girls with any vocational trend in the direction of archaeology. Expounds the basic theories, describes methods of procedure, and does it in so direct and inspiringly enthusiastic a way that there is adventure in the reading. It helps one reconstruct an ancient civilization, and gives one a sense of antedating history.
