Or: the Halloween party program guide, with creaky (structurally as well as atmospherically) ""limer-eeks,"" a flatly rhyming ""feel-the-corpse"" game using onions for eyes, chalk for fingers and pork and beans (!) for insides, a treasure hunt undertaken to ""turn the witch to chewing gum,"" a series of gags strung together in a skit wherein various patients pop in and out of the office of Dr. Diabolical, a few spooky oral tales with trick endings, and some magic (to be performed with playing cards, handkerchief, etc.) dressed up for the occasion with names like ""the galloping ghost"" and ""Dracula's pencil."" None of the selections really depart from the familiar broomstick-beaten path, but most Halloween celebrants should find enough ghostly giggles here to prop up the party until the treats give out.
