KIRKUS REVIEW

A four-year-old American boy living in Paris finally makes friends in the park -- just like all those other children in American parks in countless interchangeable picture books. The neutral-shaded pictures, with Eric's red sweater the only spot of color, are pleasantly utilitarian -- the story evidently based on a real incident of some interest to the participants.
