KIRKUS REVIEW

La Robbins, a veteran of the cookbook scene, has prepared an efficient clutch of recipes-a not-too-extravagant variety in traditional order of presentation. Among the come-on's: swordfish with cheese and scallions; roast Canadian bacon with dry wine; a seafood shashlik with--count 'em--six ingredients. Yes, each recipe involves no more than seven items, if that really matters. Reliable, serviceable.
