WOMAN WITH ARTHRITIS- The True Story of a Recovery

Somewhere along the line the diagnosis of arthritis takes secondary place to the prescribed treatment of psychoanalysis. Intimate experiences of Ann Scott's life- with emphasis on its sexual aspect- comprise a good percentage of this true story submerging, then losing, any validity there might be in the psychosomatic theory of arthritis it outlines. Woman with Arthritis is the outpourings of a middle-aged woman who seems to revel in her misfortunes. The market will be for those women who derive the same vicarious pleasures from another's emotional catharsis as Mrs. Scott did in writing this. The reader who wants emotionalism will find it here; the reader who expects to be enlightened about the medical side of arthritis will find a distorted view and will probably be confused.
