KIRKUS REVIEW

Alternating chapters are ""by Fredrika"", a hot-tempered stormy girl who has oved to a shabby flat with her easy-going, just divorced mother. The remaining chapters consist of letters from ""the boy upstairs"" (who lives with his widowed father) to an aunt. Through the two points of view, the author presents unusually interesting character studies of four people and shows how their inter-relationships ause change in at least one of them. Fast paced, the worthwhile story will fascinate female romance readers although love in that sense is in the background, not center stage.
