I found this fascinating reading, though I do not think it will be easy selling. However, it is an important book, so make it your job to sell it. The wife of Hermann Pau tells the absorbing story of the years when Nazism was taking control in Germany and in the Danzing Polish Corridor section where they lived, and where he held to important political position. She tells of how insidiously people who thought to control the movement became deeply and terrifyingly involved, of how -- for a time -- her husband was caught by the hypnotism of Hitler's personality, and was in constant fear of her determination to keep their children free in thought and deed. Of dis recognition of what was happening, his forced withdrawal, and their ultimate escape Europe -- Europe --eventually to America.
