Your customers who liked BEHIND THE FACT and hailed it as more than a mystery story, will like this, which is also more than a mystery, although the author is known as a writer of mysteries. This book is rather an intensely vivid, gripping story of a woman who murders her husband, and of the ten subsequent years, in which she pulls her family up into a position of honor and esteem in the community. It is a story of a fight for happiness for the children she has made fatherless. The setting is Texas, the time ten years before the depression. Melodrama, perhaps, but there is a strong human interest element which gives it dignity.
