KIRKUS REVIEW

The Cub Scouts are the real heroes of this story of a child's adjustment to a new neighborhood and school. How Donny Johnson overcomes the feeling of alienation through his activities with the scouts, makes up the core of this episodic story. Richard Crist's routine black and white illustrations and the bland narrative are compensated for by the variety of ideas presented here for activities in which a group of young children on the verge of Cub Scout age might participate.
