This is a book to be read to and looked at from any position or direction, and it will require only a comfortable amount of physical and mental gymnastics to follow the nonsense verse about the new man in town, ""A nice polite man--upside down."" He seems rather a respectable chap, 1890's style, and does all the normal things, except, of course, upended. His problem came when he tried to dance with Miss Annie--""The other guests who saw her trouble/Laughed till they bent over double."" The upside-down man straightened them all out, though, only with their legs in the air. The book is definitely slanted in the right direction for fun.
