KIRKUS REVIEW

Through another Moonlit Door (1967) of another gingerbread Gothic house called Guinever Court where Sarah, recently and disastrously married, is staying with her father and his two wives. Is her husband Niall trying to kill her? is someone trying to kill Niall as well they might? and who is Alexandra who appears just before Niall disappears? and is Dido (a sort of half sister twice removed) quite as helpless as she seems, confined in a wheelchair? All of this is e-motivated from beginning to end in a perfectly complaisant fashion. It's a Candygram for the ladies, and if it were unsigned, you might guess Dorothy Eden or Victoria Holt.
