ELIZABETH, MY DAUGHTER by Anne Ritner

ELIZABETH, MY DAUGHTER

By

Pub Date: Nov. 11th, 1940
Publisher: Michael S. Mill

Unorthodox and high-keyed story of love, with touches of its less spiritual aspects, which makes lively rental reading. Elizabeth is the daughter of a power-bent politician and his sweet but dowdy wife. Self-indulgent, theatrical, with as much of a will as a way to her, Elizabeth precipitates one crisis after another -- with her lover, Nicholas, an older man, with a young aviator who is killed because of her, with her parents who face scandal and divorce. And at the close, after a do or die stunt, she marries Nicholas. Torrential.
