MEN BEFORE ADAM by Anne Terry White

Email this review

The notorious ""monkey trials"" proved that modern man had not yet accepted the proved facts of evolution. Anne Terry White, herself an archaelogist, with several books to her credit, here sets out -- in almost ABC form, to trace the findings since Darwin's Origin of Species burst upon the world. Partly biographical, partly armchair anthropology -- in the last analysis the book is a graphic outline of the march of science, with the discoveries of various fossil remains to prove the existence of primitive man over 130,000 years, and to give evidence of the tools and implements he used and the advanced development of his art. A skillful job.
