THE WHITE OLEANDER by Anne Wormser

THE WHITE OLEANDER

By

Pub Date: Feb. 17th, 1947
Publisher: Macrae-Smith

Much of the same old sameness in the story of Kay, who leaves her uncles and a ranch in California to come to New York and become a success on a slick magazine. Called home a few years later, she marries George Renfrow, New Yorker, and just out of the army. The author is now concerned with finding enough bumps to lengthen the story. This is accomplished as George feels that Kay does not need him as a woman rea needs a man, as Kay returns to New York leaving George to run the ranch- and return to his senses, and everything ends with a kiss... Watered down Kathleen Norris.
