MYSTERY RIDES THE RIVER

By

Publisher: Nelson

The story holds the interest as you read, but at the close the mystery element seems spun thin, unreal, and the newspaper aspects, which might have been authentic and solid, evaporate completely. You have a picture of a heroine with a good -- and relatively undeserved -- newspaper job, doing absolutely nothing for the paper, while she runs down various clues, and gets into successive jams in the effort to solve the mystery of the disappearance of the boss' son, and her own brother's involvement.
