KIRKUS REVIEW

These ""little adventures"" are of a bed-raggled amatory nature starting with the narrator's introduction to delights with ""charming Venetia"" at age eight and continuing with his ""French"" lessons from the fishmonger's daughter, his seduction by a thirty-year-old widow and various passing fancies up until an exhausting triangle in a boarding house. ""Let me be tried by Cupid's potent laws, I fear not censure-nay, expect applause."" Really? One fingered exercises.
