A TREASURY OF GREAT SCIENCE FICTION

By

Pub Date: Nov. 19th, 1959
Publisher: Doubleday

Choosing from the years 1938 -- 1958, the editor has taken material that has been overlooked in other collections, that is new to hard covers (nine titles have never been in book form), or that is out of print and has assembled top ranking names along with good grade stories. There are three book length novels, Anderson's Brain Wave, Bester's The Stars Are My Destination, Van Vogt's The Weapon Shops of Isher, a novella by Sturgeon, The Widget, The Wadget and Boff, and short to long-short stories by Bradbury, Heinlein, Kornbluth, Meril, Clarke, Kuttner, Clingerman, E. B. White and others. A good buy for those who never can have enough, particularly of better grade, SF.
