THE BLADE OF CASTLEMAYNE by Anthony Esler

THE BLADE OF CASTLEMAYNE

By

Pub Date: Sept. 16th, 1974
Publisher: Morrow

Back and back, vertiginous, her waterfall of golden hair spilling into emptiness,"" young Lady Arabella, daughter of a 16th century Earl of hereditary power but very little brain, almost succumbs to the heaving advances of handsome Walter Castlemayne, Twelfth Night guest who also has the hots for the command of one of the Earl's new ships. Rival and villain, Sir Malcolm, plots the murder of Walter's best friend, uses most ill the golden heart of an ex-whore, and is finally run through in a duel. A muzzy Hamlet plot, dirk-and-bodice chestnuts, lend a background for the heavy action. Vertiginously silly--but good natured.
