The book is exactly what its title indicates, a guide to the better golf courses round the world. The arrangement is alphabetical by state, then by city; Canada, the Caribbean, Bermuda, Latin America, the British Isles, the Continent, and Australia. Under each golf course included, there's brief summary of type of club (public, private), size, membership requirements, costs, and where description is needed, a sentence or more in italics describing the kind of course.
