KIRKUS REVIEW

A play-wright fashions pieces from his own life, loses his wife through his inability to see her side of the picture, and proceeds to make his son a possession from which he will not be parted. When the boy wants an independent existence, trouble brews and the leechlike, posturing father finally finds another haven. Told by the son, this is the portrait of a conceited, somewhat pathetically blind, little man.
