KIRKUS REVIEW

A case of impersonation is almost successful until Arthur Crook, the Criminal's Hope, bulldogs and dozes the culprit into his net. Ineffectual Miss Hunter's identity is stolen by Miss Freke, a stern opportunist, and her efforts to prove a rightful claim to her inheritance are constantly blocked by her opponent's wiliness in kidnapping and hiding her. When Crook's interest is aroused, he harries Miss Freke, upsets her plans, and saves Miss Hunter's life. Able bodied, and blooded.
