KIRKUS REVIEW

Irrepressible Arthur Crook sets 'em up to mow 'em down once again when he contracts to prove the innocence of a couple, the Armitages, accused of murdering Elinor Armitage's half-sister, Isabel. The trail backtracks to the death of their father, to Elinor's broken engagement to Goodwood, his shady business practices and his present wealth. Crook's eliminating of the impossible results in a three way solution. Brainy.
