Further Iron Curtained investigations-negotiations for so called historian David Audley this time based in somewhat more comfortable Italy where he tries to find out what lay behind the death of the East Berlin postman-courier-informer known as Little Bird who hadn't much to show for his life, and also a partisan Ruelle whom apparently neither the British nor the Russians can trust. Modestly exciting but Audley walks softly with assurance through the cold postwar overcast.
