KIRKUS REVIEW

Hugh Roskill follows up on the booby-trapped car which killed his friend while David Audley, opus previous, is more backstage in this attempt to reach a Middle East detente and above all keep the oil flowing. In the polyglot snarl of national interests there's an Egyptian, an Israeli agent, an Arab and something called the Ryle Foundation -- clean? or a cover? -- as well as the title referral to an 11th century sect. In other words lots -- maximized for speed at doublecrossed purposes.
