STEFANIE WAS THE GOOD ONE

Disappointing from start to finish, particularly as the theme is an important one, which misses fire. It is a story of a little Polish-American girl, and the troubles she and her family experience in being accepted as good Americans. There are nice bits about Polish customs, brought from the old world. But the story on the whole fails to make for better understanding, the characters are wooden, the situations artificial.
