BAMBOO: The Grass Tree; COCONUT: The Wonder Tree

As usual all books written and illustrated by Armstrong Sperry are interesting and beautiful. Though these two have text-book like titles, they are really good stories full of information well disguised. The first is about Sun Yo who lived in a bamboo house on the banks of the Yangtze. The second is about Toto who lived on a South Sea Island. There is no better way for children to get knowledge of far places and strange customs than through attractive books such as these. We hope that in the future a group of these volumes can be made into one as was done for the Petershams.
